July and August 2024

What strange weather this "summer" with torrential rain, showers, blistering heat and sunshine, this unusual weather has resulted in less bookings than the year before, but has given us an opportunity to undertake further work to the Cwtch.

To make reversing easier, we have removed half of the fence that was between our car parking spaces and the Cwtch entrance and have started painting the outside of the Cwtch. To keep with the summer theme, we are using "Atlantic surf" paint a mauve/blue colour. The local beaches continue to provide us with shells. The website photos will be updated when this has been completed.

The visitors we've had to stay have without exception been lovely and we have had some fantastic feedback - see our guest reviews. We have on Karl's day off from his full time employment, been to many attractions and places locally some recommended by Tourist information and others by friends and guests. A trip to Caldey island on a boat has been the most recent highlight and we plan to go on a mackerel fishing trip from Tenby. August will also see a visit to St Davids.

Suzanne's main hobby is growing flowers fruit and veg in a small field not far from the Cwtch and wherever possible places flowers in the Cwtch for our guests, this summer the rain has helped the flowers to grow so the cottage has had dahlias, sweet peas, gladioli and penstemons downstairs.
