Guest comments

We welcome any comments from our guests and have made a number of changes due to them - much easier to ask when you first think of something, as we may be able to sort during your stay. Thanks to our guests ideas we have provided, a fan, upgraded shower, boot tray for walkers, Ninja air fryer etc.

We've shared our experiences of wonderful places to visit for sightseeing, walking, bird watching, eating and drinking in Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and further afield. We've also visited places recommended by our guests, such as Bosherston Lakes, Caldey Island and eaten at Dexters at Browns.

We love sharing with you our favourite places and regularly visit new places so we can tell you about our latest finds and hearing about your experiences is great for us and often results in us passing on this information to others.

We have had the most relaxing stay here at the Cwtch - just what we needed! The house is perfectly appointed - it provided us with a central point from which to explore the area and an oasis of calm to return each day! Thank you for a wonderful week!

Linda and Mark ,

Wow!! This place is a gem! Thank you Suzanne and Karl for being so kind and thoughtful. The flowers, tea and biceps (and milk) are a lovely touch and so appreciated. Cwtch cottage is by far the cleanest place we have stayed and we will 100% return. Thoroughly enjoyed - Thank you.

Cath and Steve ,

Thank you Suzanne and Karl for your kindness, help and support enabling our stay to be as relaxed and comfortable as it has. All the small touches make such a huge difference, we have felt at home in your lovely cottage. A great location for coastal walks and exploring the local area. We would also recommend the local bus service (222) if you don't want to drive and really appreciate the local scenery. Would heartily recommend the cottage and location. Ps Dexters at Browns well worth a visit

Jude and Andy,

Really enjoyed the cottage, the welcome flowers and pack were great. Went to Pendine on the 222 bus to watch the Hot Roda on the beach. Visited Kidwelly castle and the picturesque Carreg Connen on the top of a hill! Colby Woodland gardens are a delight and we walked to the beach at Amroth only 1/2 mil. Spent a day exploring Tenby and relaxing on its lovely beaches. Unexpectedly had great weather - which was a bonus11 Wonderful week, back to reality .....

Steve and Colette,

This is our 4th visit to the Laugharne Weekend but Cwtch is by far the best place we've stayed. Great communication from Suzanne and Karl prior to our visit, lovely touches (Welsh tea and Welsh cakes) and the property itself was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and only a short walk into town.
We look forward to visiting again x

Megan and Clint ,

A return to our favourite holiday cottage, The Cwtch - such luxury rarely found in rented accommodation. Superb hospitality - the little extras add to the most enjoyable stay. Thanks to Suzanne and Karl for your kindness and support recommendations during our stay - we will be back!

Thank you for the treats on our arrival. the house has all the necessary facilities and is very bright and clean.
We enjoyed exploring the surrounding countryside, castles and the national Botanical Garden of Wales and Picton. We were also lucky enough to make a boat trip to see the puffins at Skomer Island - huge number of birds! and enjoyed large Sunday roast at the Carpenters Arms, (advisable to book).
Thank you for such an enjoyable holiday.

Really recommend Laugharne Castle and Dylan's birthday path.

A lovely place to stay everything you could need and the bed was very comfortable. The cottage was well situated for different places. An added bonus was the weather!! Thank you Suzanne and Karl for a lovely stay.

Amanda and Errol,

Our second visit and this time, brilliant weather to bring out the best of some magnificent coastline. Recommend the lily pads at Bosherston and the Tenby Ranger boat trip. The Lotus at Pendine well worth a visit if you like Asian food. But our hosts make this place special. they are so interested in what you have done each day and can't do enough to advise and offer help.

Dave and Trish ,

Simply brilliant (will be back)

Paul and Cheryl,

We have enjoyed our stay in this well equipped cottage. A special thank you Suzanne for your kindness.

Pat and Mike ,

Another fantastic stay here at the Cwtch. Suzanne and Karl excellent hosts. Visited Botanic gardens, Llanelli, Pendine Sands, horse riding at Marros stables and visited Llys y Fran reservoir. All excellent and of course walks in Laugharne. Stunning

Whitworths ,

Thank you both for such a well equipped property we love the location as well as the property itself. We've really enjoyed our change of scenery and loved seeing this part of Wales. Thank you for all your suggestions, we loved the Botanical gardens and managed to see it all in one day. We recommend Skomer, the puffins were sweet and busy making nests. We wish you both all the best for the future and hope one day in the future to return.

Law,

Just delightful in everyday! Accommodation, fixtures and fittings the welcome treats and of course our hosts. We will hopefully return to enjoy this stunning area of Wales! Thank you.

Janette and Ian ,

Thank you Suzanne and Karl. We so enjoyed your beautiful cottage. Everything we needed was here. So peaceful seeing the beautiful hills from the windows. Magnificent. Thank you for all the advice and help that you gave us and also for the treats and flowers. We wish you all the best for the future.

Roger and Irene,

The Cwtch provided a perfect sanctuary from which to nip in and out of Laugharne festival. So handy having the 222 bus stop virtually outside the door - a short trip to Carmarthen station, (or Pendine beach).
Loved the walk into Laugharne - keep going down the track to the right of the Carpenters to the stile at the end, then turn right to walk through the woods and down a long lane into Laugharne - 20 mins (short walk into Laugharne in less than 10 mins too).
Poons Thai restaurant is our top tip for Laugharne with lovely Vince and Poon cooking spa storm. Diolch am popeth Heli and Jess

Heli and Jess,

Just what we needed: a quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean cottage to relax in and from which to make the occasional foray into Laugharne to enjoy a meal. (loved the Thai food at Poons) and a walkabout to spot and admire the Georgian architecture! P.S The welcome pack containing Welsh products - great! Environmentally friendly products like Ecover and Method in use - great! Thanks for a lovely stay

Jennie and Derek,

Loved laugharne - lots to explore. Visited Rossili and Worms Head - Brilliant! Gardens well worth a visit Aberglasny and Picton Castle. The accommodation is very well equipped and comfortable. Much appreciated "welcome pack". Highly recommended! Thank you!
