Reflections
This has personally been a very challenging year for us, but it has been made easier due to our guests. We have loved hearing how they have spent their time in the area. The spring key event the Laugharne Weekend has generated bookings each year prior to an official announcement of dates. sorry it's booked for 2024, assuming our guests have the correct dates! Our previous guests have recounted the events where they have listened and watched many famous people, the area is a hive of activity that weekend.
Laugharne as a township, puts on many regular free events, which visitors have been able to enjoy, such as the Laugharne festival, events in the castle, horticulture and dog shows, an "open weekend" where all local attractions can be accessed and Laugharne carnival.
The favourite gardens visited by our guests this year, have been Aberglasney, the gardens at Picton Castle, Colby woodland and the National Botanical gardens.
Hearing stories about the puffins on Skomer island, the seals, cormorants and other sealife on the Islands expedition from Tenby has been magical and definitely a trip to be recommended, weather permitting.
We've had guests who have walked with Alpacas, or walked themselves many miles over the coastal paths and been wowed by the local views and witnessed a large amount of birds especially birds of prey.
We have been fortunate with all the useful comments from previous guests, where we have supplied most items they felt would enhance their stay. The only item that has been requested this year, was a grill pan, it was here the next day.
We are looking forward to the start of autumn as the weather changes and the leaves alter to beautiful browns and reds, the apple trees laden with fruit and the hoar frosts which can be seen over many fields in the early mornings and us having a break just before winter sets in.
We look forward to welcoming more guests in the months ahead and are very pleased to already have 2 bookings for next year.
Thank you our wonderful guests for your enthusiasm about the Cwtch and Laugharne and the local area and for looking after the Cwtch during your stays.
