New Year reflections

Wishing you a happy and healthy new year.
We are looking forward to meeting many new guests and are please that we have guests booked from overseas, a first since Covid, plus others from the UK for 2023.
As part of the new year, we have had time for reflection on our last year, where we met some very interesting and friendly people. The feedback of the Cwtch has been good, and most guests are pleasantly surprised when they arrive and see how large the property is and the hours of cleaning between guests always seems worthwhile when it's commented upon.
During the summer a new shower was installed increasing the previous pressure with new plumbing.
Our efforts to reduce the impact on the climate and to be more environmentally friendly has increased, with cleaning products and our "welcome items" include some environmentally friendly toilet rolls. Suzanne grows many flowers in a local field and depending on the growing season you may be welcomed with her field grown flowers. Recycling of food, bottles, paper and plastics occur as standard.
Laugharne was busy with many activities, including the festival, Jubilee celebrations, carnival, and open day, all of which our guests attended.
During 2022 Suzanne and Karl visited many local attractions so that we could share them with our guests, the favourites being, in spring, Castle Green bluebell woods. A boat trip around Caldey island where seals and many sea birds were seen. A five hour stay on Skomer Island walking and seeing puffins and even more sea birds. We have visited all local attractions, the boathouse, St Martins Church, St Sadwrens church, the town hall, Laugharne castle and found helpful guides at all, willing to impart their knowledge. If you want to find out more, please click on the links on this website.
The warm weather meant swimming at Pendine sands (paddle boarding, surfing available for the more adventurous) and paddling at Ginst point plus walking in and around Laugharne. We had golfers staying who found many local golf courses, most people visit Narberth and Tenby if they are here for four days or longer, cyclists found the storage of bikes meant they didn't worry leaving them here.
Our local pub - a couple of minutes away, reopened with new management and has been welcomed by many for the reasonable prices and friendly welcome by locals, all Laugharne and Pendine pubs and restaurants have been frequented and we can now recommend a thriving Indian restaurant in St Clears.
Hoping you decide to stay in our cottage.
