Reviews - Exceptional

It's always with trepidation we look at reviews for the Cwtch -  Did the guest have the experience they wanted? Was it clean enough? Did it have the items our guests wanted to have a comfortable stay? Were we friendly but not obtrusive etc. 

What sparked these musings? Our latest review via Bookings.com just said exceptional - and a score of 10/10 we couldn't want more but so different from those which also gave 10/10, where the above mentioned aspects were shared with future guests - but exceptional that is a lot to replicate and probably has different meanings for different people. Regardless how wonderful that the guests who stayed for four nights felt this, particularly as this was their 11th visit to Laugharne and are hoping to return for the Laugharne festival next year staying in the Cwtch.

Once we were marked down on a review because the guests didn't like the food in the local pub - the owner has changed and there are currently great owners and fab food. neither of which were/are in our control.

Whilst there is trepidation reading them, sometimes they make us pleased that the effort we put into the Cwtch has meant people have liked the property and sometimes suggestions as to how we can improve can generally be implemented. A new TV arrived today.

We have also been given a Cottages.com "Customer Choice" award for persistently high scores/positive reviews, but we can never rest on our laurels as things go wrong and we can't guarantee good weather or great pub food, although there are a couple more new restaurants so greater choice of food this year in Laugharne.

We just hope when you stay you like the Cwtch at Forge Cottage or tell us early of any problems so that we can rectify them.
