Laugharne waking up for the spring.

February 8th and 9th saw the Laugharne Community Window Light Trail" - Laugharne is full of talented artists. A few of the pictures that were displayed in home and businesses lit up can be seen below. The two walk around the township meant new friendships were forged and the town looked as if it was preparing for spring and the influx of visitors who will share our lovely part of the world.

Daffodils are flowering early and it won't be long before the bluebells and primroses followed by the rare orchids, of which Laugharne as 15 different species, most found in untrodden areas and are illegal to be dug up. I've started sowing seeds, so that when you visit if they are flowering there may be a bunch in the Cwtch, be it penstemon, sweet pea, dahlias, alstroemeria etc.

Over winter Laugharne has seen the opening of three new eateries, including new owners in the Carpenters Arms, who so far have provided excellent food, a new pizza restaurant and wine bar which sells food.

We currently have a few vacancies in March and April with May being nearly full. Please contact us directly if you would like to stay or book directly with Cottages.com
